Speedy the Fish (2000-2004)

Speedy Fish (Poisson Poissonicidus) is a goldfish hatched in 2001 and brought home to Astra's father's tank, where Speedy promptly took to eating his neighbours. So, Juris gave Speedy to us and we put him in a tank with our fish...whom he subsequently ate (see the ex-pets page). Now Speedy lives in an aquarium all by himself, content to live off the affections of the cats who consider him a sort of television. His turn-offs include algae and clogged pumps; his turn-ons include dried shrimp flakes. When Speedy was young he was silver. Now he is orange. Makes you think. Speedy passed away after a prolonged and seemingly incurable bout of fin-rot, followed by an exposure to dish-soap. The toilet was flushed with honours.
